Working principle

The principle of Doppler flowmeter: When the ultrasonic sound source and the observer move relatively, the frequency received by the observer is different from that of the ultrasonic sound source. Therefore, the small particles and bubbles that move with water in relation to the ultrasonic transducer will also cause changes in the frequency received by the transducer, and this increase increases with the increase of the speed of suspension movement in water. Thus, the Doppler frequency shift can be measured and converted to obtain the flow velocity of the water at which the Doppler flowmeter is located. Multiply it by the cross-sectional area of the channel to obtain the traffic information.
Because the speed of sound propagation in water is closely related to water temperature, the Doppler principle for measuring flow velocity requires obtaining the speed of sound propagation in water. Therefore, the device is equipped with a built-in temperature sensor for temperature measurement, thereby correcting the speed of sound. The liquid level depth measurement adopts a diffused silicon pressure sensor to measure the distance from the position of the flow velocity sensor to the liquid surface.
